Cindi West, owner and principal accountant, has provided a wide array of accounting services with her unique, personal touch for hundreds of individuals and businesses in Gunnison Valley and across the Western Slope since 1999. She also takes 24 hours of continuing education each year to keep abreast of the changes in the tax code.
In 1995, Cindi received her bachelor's, along with a post-B.A. degree in accounting, from Western State Colorado University in Gunnison, CO.
She is a co-owner of the Rockin' JC Ranch, located off Hwy 50 by Mile Marker 129 (between Gunnison and Montrose at the Blue Mesa Cut off). Rockin' JC Ranch specializes in selling meat from Heritage breeds: Scottish Highland Cattle, and fresh eggs. The ranch also sells Karelian Bear dogs puppies, and hosts Eco-Tourist Vacations. The soft, persistent scratching on the doors and windows of the 1040 Diner was making my skin crawl. But what could I do? I was trapped inside with others taxpayers.
The vampire zombie IRS agents were just outside. Lucky for us, Cindi West of CA West Bookkeeping and Payroll Services was also in the diner. She was armed
only with a sharp pencil, which doubled as a wooden stake, and a blazing bright knowledge of the Tax Code. "Don't look into their eyes" she warned. Twas the night before tax season and I had such a fright,
I witnessed my mess and considered my plight.
I just settled down with my box of receipts,
If I didn't get busy, I'd have no relief.
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I jumped from my desk to see what was the matter.
And what to my wondering eyes did I see?
But C.A. West Bookkeeping come to save me!
The sight of her made me giddy with joy,
I knew right then I was one lucky boy.
With a wink of her eye, and a twist of her head,
Soon gave me hope, there was nothing to dread.
She went at my receipts, all bunched in a ball,
